FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT
What Is The FUE Hair Transplant Technique?
FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is one of the most commonly used methods.
FUE technique consists of extracting the hair follicles from the donor area individually (such as the arms, legs and chest, and usually the back of the head) and implant them where hair is thinner or absent.
How FUE Hair Transplant Works?
During the process, individual follicles are removed under local anaesthesia. The surgeon uses micro surgical needles to remove the follicles, then punctures the scalp area that is to receive the grafts.
An FUE hair transplant can be undergone in either one long session or several smaller sessions.
The duration of an FUE procedure can vary depending on how many grafts are needed.
Who Is Suitable For FUE Hair Transplantation?
This procedure is suitable for adult male or female individuals that have a baldness problems or those who want to supplement thin hair.
People who get hair implants should be over the age of 25. Hair loss before this age is more unpredictable.
People with thicker hair usually achieve better results than people with thinner hair. Thicker hair gives each hair follicle more coverage.
Patients with a hair density of fewer than 40 follicles per square centimeter at their donor site are considered poor candidates for hair transplants.
People with light hair or with a hair color close to their skin tone often achieve the best results.
FUE Hair Transplant Precautions and Safety:
The FUE procedure is considered safe with minor possible side effects, such as tiny white scars where follicles were extracted.
In extremely rare cases, there can be infection or tissue death where the surgery was done.
Swelling, bruising, and sensitivity are very common side effects after surgery, that go away a few days after treatment.
After the hair transplantation, you should pay attention to your diet and lifestyle, avoid heavy work and stay away from exercise for a while.
